PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Portsmouth, RI. This is an initial 9-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
What is the primary mission of this role? The primary mission of this role is to support a Manufacturing area by fulfilling the responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer.
What are the main functions of this role? Attending daily production meetings (as required), reviewing and dispositioning non-conforming materials, updating Manufacturing Shop Floor system information, performing hardware reviews, provide technical support to assembly work force, maintaining and generating Manufacturing Documentation.
How will the contractor’s success be measured?: Success will be measured in terms of completion of tasks in support of production schedules and individual milestones established for independent tasks assigned.
Culture: This contractor will be working in a collaborative team environment where they will be working to achieve the factory’s production goals but will also be expected to perform some tasks as an individual contributor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- US Citizenship
- Minimum of 2 years
- Basic Computer Skills, Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to interpret technical information/requirements, excellent organizational skills
Desired:
- Experience with military and industry standards, manufacturing documentation development, experience with electromechanical and/or cable harness fabrication
