LOCATION: International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE)
SCHEDULE: FRI-SUN (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) (The training period will be Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) for the first 3-4 weeks)
What You'll Do
This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.
This position will play a key role in setting up and operating a variety of machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines to ensure smooth operation in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair.
- Study blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of metal stock required.
- Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on metal stock surfaces.
- Dismantle machines or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
- Replace defective parts with new, or repair/reproduce part from various kinds of metal stock.
- Assemble and test operate machine to verify correction of malfunction.
- Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
- Able to read drawings and blueprints.
- Must understand tolerances of machines.
- Able to fit assemble and create metal parts to repair machines.
- Promptly make repairs and/or changes to all plant equipment as needed.
- Report any production, quality and safety problems to the shift or department supervisor.
- Review daily work orders, tasks, work assignments and status of operational equipment.
- Perform blade changes and set up spare blade carriers as needed.
- Perform scheduled PM tasks as required.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts.
- Visually inspect the air compressors and compactor at least twice per shift.
- Visually inspect operating equipment and solicit information/feedback from the operators.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Clean and organize the maintenance shop.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree required or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 4+ years' experience, machine certificate preferred.
- Technical Training specific to responsibilities.
- Ability to direct subordinates.
- Ability to make decisions pertaining to success of job.
- Ability to weld.
- Skill and ability to operate lathe and mill.
- Experience with the use of standard shop and hand tools.
- Capable of reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
