Position: Manufacturing Manager
Direct Reports: 2 Manufacturing Engineers, 3 Production Supervisors and 70 Operators
Reports To: Plant Manager
Salary Range: $130k to $150k
Bonus: 5% annual bonus
Relocation: Lump sum relocation assistance
Job Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Manager leads production to achieve targets for Safety, Environmental, Production, Quality, and Cost. Develop and execute ideas and capital projects for Continuous Improvement of manufacturing operations. Lead, coach, and develop the production team to enable operational excellence and growth opportunities.
- Establish, execute, and maintain Safety systems across plant operations.
- Lead day-to-day operations through the safe and timely execution of the schedule as well as monthly manufacturing targets.
- Manage department consisting of Production Supervisors, Operators & Engineers.
- Lead day-to day operations (including SAP transactions), housekeeping, audits, safety issues, maintenance needs, capital projects, process improvements, overtime, training, procedural updates, and other operational issues.
- Responsible for developing department budgets and performance metrics and meeting the budget and goals.
- Set strategic priorities for in cooperation with Plant Manager and executive leadership.
- Develop and foster a problem-solving culture that looks to establish root cause and not blame.
- Generate ideas, plans, and projects to enhance the performance of the manufacturing units, e.g., process, rate, yields and quality improvement through lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts.
- Responsible for personnel employee development through growth, performance feedback, communication, involvement, skills enhancement, delegating responsibility, decision-making and coaching.
- Work with Quality to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through product consistency and prompt follow up to customer issues and feedback.
- Participate and represent the plant on appropriate plant business teams and the S&OP process.
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and RC14001 management systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
- MS or MBA a major plus.
- Minimum 5 years of management within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing setting.
- Solid knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing). Black Belt or Green Belt training and certification preferred.

Salary
5% annual bonus
