What we are Looking for
Ensures the plant is running effectively and efficiently with continual improvements in the aspects of production and waste. Will maintain a clean and safe work environment; research and implement new work practices and machinery. Manages Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, Maintenance, Warehousing, Inventory, Logistics, and Safety functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations while maintaining fair contribution to profitability of each order produced.
- Increase production, asset throughput, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs; maintaining and improving quality performance.
- Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
- Allocate resources and assets effectively to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, employee safety, and environmentally friendly atmosphere.
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste and unwarranted overtime that does not further the company culture. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Address employee issues promptly and equitably.
- Maintain Planned Budgets.
Education, Experience, and Attributes
- Minimum five years of manufacturing experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is preferred.
- Formal training in continuous improvement desired.
- Other Skills: Knowledge of corrugated products; proficient with Amtech software,
- customer service programs, sales programs, and production/Machine
- software as appropriate for the specific plant.
