About the Job
Description
- Permanent position for a Manufacturing Process Engineer for custom industrial furniture and millwork products.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies.
- Design and refine production workflows to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance.
- Prepare and present project plans, timelines, and progress reports to management.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the production team.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production problems.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- BS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering.
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with millwork operations, metal fabrication, and powder coating lines is a plus
