Millwork Production Manager
Our client is a leader in the millwork industry, specializing in custom woodwork solutions for residential and commercial projects. They are looking for an experienced Millwork Production Manager to join their team and help continue to exceed clients' expectations.
Job Summary: The Millwork Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the millwork manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in millwork production, a solid understanding of industry standards, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the millwork production facility, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of skilled workers, providing guidance and training to improve skills and productivity.
- Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control standards, inspecting products to ensure they meet specifications and customer expectations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production workflows.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs.
- Reporting: Prepare and present production reports, metrics, and updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in millwork or wood product manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and machinery.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
