GENERAL FUNCTION
Overall mission is to support analytical tools, metrics and analysis that measure Supply Chain and Manufacturing’s progress toward its productivity, brand service, and cost commitments. Perform analyses and reporting on opportunities to improve its performance. This includes query, design, database and systems expertise across multiple operational and analytical systems.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead initiatives to develop reporting on manufacturing, service, and efficiency metrics relating to manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Design and execute database queries into various systems to get required data including SAP, LMS, and other reporting databases
- Create and deliver analysis in a variety of formats (reports, excel, email, PPT, including visualization of data and findings), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting results to various teams within EssilorLuxottica
- Build/maintain metrics databases allowing for trend reporting
- Own and understand data and results in order to track trends and create root cause analysis
- Analyze results for trends and improvement opportunities
- Develop root cause reporting based on anomalies
- Maintain accuracy and frequency of the reports with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders, continually modifying to meet new business requirements
- Monitor the effectiveness of the reports and coordinate improvements as required
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form to all management levels
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task on a broad range of assignments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Sense of urgency for results and able to get fairly accurate results quickly
- Strong analytical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data
- Knowledge of standard software applications, i.e. Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Reporting tools
- Basic experience in database query tools (SQL, APEX, SAP BW/BI)
- Some operations manufacturing/distribution background
- Basic programing in any language (Python, R, Javascript, C\C++\C#)
- Experience working with multiple data sources
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the optical industry a plus
