Manufacturing Tech / Millwright – Associate/Staff – SIGN ON BONUS – 2nd Shift

As a Jr Manufacturing Tech/Millwright will be helping to assemble, test, fit and disassemble assemblies or sub-assemblies including but not limited to main steam turbines, valves, gears, generators, pumps, compressors, experimental work, part alterations and repairs. Operate steam boiler and auxiliary systems to support testing, as required.

Your Challenge:
+ Read and interpret written and verbal work instructions, utilizing drawings, procedures and/or sketches to set up work areas and machines to perform required operations for any assigned work scope. Obtain all tools, fixtures and relocation equipment to perform work.
+ Follow established operational procedures to perform all functions to operate and maintain per manufacturer's requirements for steam test facility including steam boiler operation, water treatment plant, cooling towers, auxiliary pumps, steam valves, gas valves, blowers, etc.
+ Follow established operational procedures to perform all functions to assemble and test products, including structural set up on the test bed, product alignment, temporary supply piping for steam, water, oil, etc. Assemble and wire auxiliary electrical operated equipment to control and monitor product and experimental testing as required. Record test data as required.
+ Work to close tolerances on interrelated dimensions. Examine work scope noting dimensions, tolerances, required tools and operations. Determine need for inspection to check fits, clearances, etc. prior to, during and after assembly. Notify inspectors as required. Check work and record dimensions or characteristics as required.
+ Use of pressure washing, blast cleaning equipment and heating equipment.
Your Expertise:
+ 1-3 years' experience in a similar role
+ Experience operating high-pressure steam boilers, burners, associated controls, electrical circuits, combustion, and associated piping systems
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout and process worksheets
+ Experience working with a variety of tools and equipment such as lathes, drill presses, mills, riveters, presses, surface grinding, low speed balance, heating equipment, positioners, hand power tools,
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
