Market Development Manager (Medical Device)
Scope of Responsibility
Market Development Manager will work cross-functionally within Sales and Marketing and with customers to launch and drive market adoption of the all company products in the U.S. and targeted international markets. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and this person will contribute to and support all aspects of market development and marketing and will focus initially on downstream execution of the market development plan. Areas of focus will include, but not be limited to, planning and executing professional society meetings and peer-to-peer marketing and educational programs, developing and executing the communication plan and channel mix, developing and managing all marketing materials, generating customer insights and developing strategy and tactics reflecting these learnings, developing the annual marketing plan, the development and execution of digital content that support the objectives of the company brands. This includes web & digital media content, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and account management of all digital media outlets. and will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing cost effective digital marketing programs and communications that drive sales and support the customer journey. This role will interact closely with the company sales organization and all stakeholders in existing accounts including GIs, nurses, techs, and administration. This person must be able to gain the confidence and trust of the sales organization and customers.

The Market Development Manager's responsibilities will include
- Planning and execution of professional society meetings and peer-to-peer marketing and educational programs
- Development and execution of communication plan and channel mix
- Development and management of all marketing materials
- Generating, reporting, and developing local strategies and tactics reflecting customer insights and to improve brand awareness and education of our products
- Work with marketing on development of the annual marketing plan
- Develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets
- Propose and help implement marketing programs and promotional campaigns
- Work with sales team to manage customer requests for marketing materials and assistance with local marketing initiatives
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports to management and field teams
- Monitor, identify, and develop strategies and content to effectively educate physicians and patients on the benefits of our technology and to direct them to the appropriate channels
- Provide monthly analytic reports with recommendations specific to driving and optimizing traffic, behavior, campaign response, keyword research/analysis, SEO, and SEM opportunity
- Work with marketing team members in the development of content for brands’ Websites and media outlets including copy, merchandising, banners, and promotions
- Develop and manage efficient procedures and workflows for the digital content life cycle, including creation, approval, revision and removal
- Manage and support video shoots. Edit procedure video content into training and educational materials for digital access by customers and company personnel
- Manage PPC advertising campaigns within approved budget
- Review new technologies to keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device marketing or market development positions is required
- Experience leading or working with cross-functional teams and managing projects
- Experience working with and managing external vendors
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing on customer insights to drive increased utilization in local markets
- Experience working in gastroenterology and specifically in endoscopy strongly preferred
- Experience in medical device sales preferred
- Strong endorsement from sales colleagues and customers
- Capable of editing and producing quality video content
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word
