This position is a temporary unpaid internship assignment. This position is responsible for driving social media engagement across various platforms to promote the Agency and it’s programs. This position works closely with the Director of Development and Marketing and Communications Specialist.
This is an unpaid Internship position.

- Assists the Marketing and Communications Specialist to create and schedule social media posts across various platforms, primarily using Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Monitors engagement and responds to comments and messages from followers.
- Collaborates with the philanthropy team to support campaigns.
- Assists with the development of social media strategies and campaigns
- Develops professional workstyle by learning to attend meetings, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ongoing other duties and special assignments assigned by site supervisor on an as needed basis based on Agency demands.
- Practicing Catholic in the Diocese of Grand Rapids
- Ability to attend mandatory orientation hosted at USCCB offices in Washington D.C. – May 28th-31st All expenses for this trip including travel, room and board will be paid for by CCHD.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in office software tools including: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with team members
- Organized and possesses the ability to multi-task
Education:
Minimum of two (2) years of education in Communications, Advertising, or other related majors are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in social media management preferred.

None required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
