Job Summary:
The Content Strategist will leverage their strong understanding of content strategy and the role content plays in the sales funnel, to create compelling, creative and corporate content, that engages B2B audiences and promotes conversions and elevates Medcor’s value propositions. Instrumental in building the engagement journey, the Content Strategist will develop cohesive and effective messaging that helps achieve business objects while strengthening the Medcor brand.
This is a full-time position working in a Hybrid capacity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable, on-brand messages that resonate with targeted audiences.
- Write engaging content across multiple channels by crafting compelling, channel and funnel-stage appropriate messaging, and ensuring tonal consistency and cohesion.
- Provide a balanced and versatile approach to corporate, creative and digital performance content writing across multiple channels.
- Create compelling content while weaving in industry best practices and integrating search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to maximize online visibility.
- Collaborate with creative design partners to adapt copy to work within varying formats and accommodate stakeholder feedback as necessary.
- Serve as SME for Medcor brand and style and lead highly visible projects such as the annual report.
- Develop editorial calendars that align with corporate / marketing strategies and proactively ensure adherence to timelines.
- Leverage project management software (Asana) to effectively collaborate and coordinate with team members.
- Develop KPIs and provide value-add reporting and insights for unique stakeholder audiences.
- Populate and edit content via WordPress CMS.
- Maintain a deep and evolving understanding of B2B content strategies and serve as SME, advising on industry trends and innovations to achieve Marketing objectives.
- Additional projects, tasks and/or job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in relevant Field
Experience:
- 5+ years of content creation for one or more vertical markets such as Healthcare, Technology or Life Sciences.
- Strong online portfolio demonstrating recent writing capabilities, including digital, case studies and sales collateral, reflecting the responsibilities of this position and the diversity of skillset.
- Deep understanding of SEO and SEM best practices and the ability to interpret data and analytics to inform content decisions and optimize for engagement and performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience with Semrush or similar platform.
- 1 year of Asana or similar project management platform experience.
- Google Analytics and Ads certifications within the last year.
- Content Management certification.
- Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platform.
Skills:
- Exceptional understanding of what it takes to engage and capture B2B audiences throughout the buying funnel.
- Ability to learn quickly to become familiar with the organization’s services and value propositions, differentiators and our industry, including competitors and partners.
- Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills.
- Innovative, creative attitude and self-direction thinking in finding new opportunities to showcase Medcor to our external audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal policies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and editorial calendars while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
