With more than 35 years of experience in the flower industry, Equiflor/Rio Roses is a leading grower/importer/distributor of “world class” fresh cut flowers. We are a small privately held company, offering a dynamic work environment, and excellent benefits.
This dynamic position will give the candidate the ability to use their creative inspiration and technical skills to assist the Sales & Marketing team with initiatives related to the company website, social media outlets, and traditional media. The Marketing Coordinator will gain significant exposure to senior-level personnel and can work on a wide range of customer-facing projects. The ideal candidate has a marketing background with strong creative/content development skills in both web-based and traditional media.
Responsibilities will include:
- Support the work of the Marketing Director and sales department on projects directed at developing sales strategies, customer engagement, and increase revenues.
- Support Marketing Director in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies.
- Develop marketing materials including ads, flyers, spec sheets, and other resources in support of sales objectives.
- Plan and coordinate event details, including registration process, printed material, and product shipments.
- Assist in collecting data that helps determine product performances and customer preferences.
- Research and analyze data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions through secondary research.
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific social media networks to spread both our brand and our content.
- Run regular social media promotions and campaigns and track their success (e.g., Facebook and Instagram ads).
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic, and leads from our social network presence.
- Perform administrative duties for department as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in the marketing area.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in content creation.
- Be a collaborator with excellent time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities.
- Knowledge of graphic design practices and print/web production software, specifically in the following: Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Experience using Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
- Video editing experience not necessary, but preferred.
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization and web analytics a plus.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence software a plus.
- Individual must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing. Spanish a plus.
