About the Job
Reporting to the Creative Projects Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing various campaigns via digital, print, and community events to engage members, donors, and community partners. This position will focus on content production (i.e. graphic design and copywriting), project coordination, and social and digital marketing engagement to elevate the Girl Scouts’ iconic brand through social media, emails, web content, printed collateral, and more.
Key Contributions:
- Produce graphic design pieces for a variety of marketing needs—including advertisements, flyers, reports, pamphlets, fundraising and special events, emails, and social media—that align with GSSD messaging and drives brand awareness and engagement
- Provide administrative and creative support for MarComm campaigns, events, and meetings with preparation and follow up
- Generate original graphics and content for social media with an emphasis on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
- Engage daily with GSSD members and community via social media, respond to general inquiries, and work with communications team to ensure consistency in responses
- Maintain the marketing communications and editorial calendars to ensure optimal timing and engagement of newsletters (i.e. open and click rates) and social media posts
- Build all email newsletters in Salesforce Marketing, including monthly content to donors, volunteers, parents/caregivers, GSSD staff, and more
- Maintain and upkeep sdgirlscouts.org website to ensure accurate and timely content
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, tracking project timelines and in-bound marketing requests
- Carry out additional assignments as required to meet department or organization goals and objectives
- Understand the importance of Brand Guidelines and knows how to maintain a consistent brand across all platforms

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of professional working experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or related field
- Must have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (AEM, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Outstanding communication, teamwork, collaboration, and project management skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok)
- Creative mindset and a can-do attitude
- Excellent grammar and writing skills
- Detail oriented and committed to accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation. Occasional travel will be required.

Hiring salary range: $23 - $26 per hour.
