KPFF Louisville is seeking an accomplished Marketing Manager who is ambitious, resourceful, strategic and detail-oriented to support our structural engineering practice. The ideal candidate is eager to pursue work with autonomy, while also being able to contribute to a diverse team in a rapidly growing practice. This candidate would identify opportunities, develop content and support the expansion of our current local client base while also supporting Team Leaders in Louisville, DC, Nashville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Lexington. As part of a large decentralized nationwide company, the Louisville "Reporting Center" is responsible for all of its own messaging, content and assets across all offices/regions. This position also has the opportunity to contribute to the Des Moines, IA and Protective Design Reporting Centers.
The Marketing Manager will collaborate with our Leadership Team to coordinate the execution of all marketing content for the Louisville region while supporting our satellite offices. They will develop marketing materials including, but not limited to; qualifications packages, RFP responses and interview presentations. Additional responsibilities will also include maintaining/updating our current asset database. As an advocate and steward of the brand, the Marketing Manager will make sure all collateral is consistent with firmwide branding and templates in both appearance and tone.
This position will also work with our Creative Media Director and Operations Team to assist in the development of brochures, coordinating client/public facing events, sending updates to our website and possibly assisting in our social media efforts.
This position reports directly to the Report Center Manager.
Day-to-day activities will include:
- Coordinating proposal efforts:
- Researching leads in our key markets and sectors
- Reviewing solicitation advertisements and overseeing the go/no-go process
- Supporting each office's market and client plans
- Ensuring deadlines are met internally and with Clients and/or Owners
- Creating and editing all materials into a cohesive package
- Working with the Creative Media Director to create graphics to collaborate on content messaging
- Executing production and delivery
- Completing sub consultant qualification package requests
- Coordinating our participation at industry conferences and events, including the creation of presentations, brochures and other promotional materials
- Facilitating the identification and development of a new CRM/database
- Supporting marketing outreach and public relations efforts in markets where necessary
- Maintaining a marketing and events calendar
This position may entail additional responsibilities based on the successful applicant's particular strengths and areas of interest.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
- Experience meeting challenging proposal deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong copywriting, editing and graphic design/layout skills; solid understanding of the importance of rhetoric, tone, messaging, attention to grammar, etc.
- Experience maintaining a CRM and developing metrics that help inform decision-making
- Ability to target and research state and federal budgets
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience in AEC marketing
- Member of SMPS
