- This is a non-exempt position. All overtime hours are paid at a time-and-a-half hourly rate.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with great collaboration skills, exceptional time management skills, and a problem-solving mindset. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to work on prime pursuits and statements of qualifications for public agencies, independently create compelling marketing collateral, and successfully accomplish goals with a team in a deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities & Abilities
- The Marketing Specialist is part of Marketing Team reporting to the Director of Marketing
- The Marketing Specialist will perform tasks alongside other members of the Marketing team in order to serve the business needs of the office
- Primary responsibilities of this position will be to work on prime pursuits and statements of qualifications for public agencies.
- Generates marketing collateral to presell our service to potential clients, as needed for project pursuits and for general office needs.
- Ability to utilize InDesign templates and assist in maintaining digital asset libraries.
- Provide expertise in presentation design and interview preparation.
- Engages in peer review of team members' work, assuring requirements are met and essential information is included in marketing collateral.
- Highly detail-oriented individual experienced in independently verifying accuracy of information and sourcing relevant content.
- Effectively advance concurrent high-priority tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, documentation, organization skills and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on a team and sharing workload among team members.
- Excellent research and information gathering skills
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of continuous, focused experience in pursuit development is required.
- An associate degree is required.
- Experience performing work on a PC/Windows based computer.
- Expert understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, emphasis on InDesign.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Experienced in Microsoft Teams 365 and SharePoint.
- Experience with leading, planning and executing prime proposal submissions for public agencies and private companies is required.
- Experience with RFP, RFQ, RFI processes is required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly in verbal and written forms.
- Meet multiple deadlines daily in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
- Must work in our Downtown Los Angeles office 3 days per week, 8 hours per day. Everyone is required to be in the office on Tuesdays.
- Up to two days per week may be worked remotely, following initial training period and probation.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in business, architecture or engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with Unanet/ Cosential CRM is preferred.
- Competent with PDF management and organization.
- Competent with Microsoft Teams 365 and SharePoint.
- A track record of submitting highly-ranked proposals to public and private agencies.
- Experience with workload tracking systems preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM at our office in Downtown Los Angeles for the training period.
- Following a satisfactory training period, a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office may be accommodated
- All duties are performed in a typical office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day.
- May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
