Job Description:
A Lifescape Masonry Apprentice can work well with others, is dependable and takes direction. Responsible for assisting in the production of small- and large-scale Masonry projects.
Compensation: $41,600 - $48,840
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Mason or Foreman read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to execute work
- Sort and gather stone, brick, or block for assembly of masonry units
- Assist in building and dismantling forms used for pouring concrete
- Set-up and take down scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
- Accurately install project according to plans and on budget with guidance of Mason or Foreman
- Load truck and trailer as needed to and from job site/shop
- Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
- Properly mix various grades of mortars
- Properly mix, pour, and spread concrete
- Ensure structures are perfectly vertical and horizontal, using a plumb bob, level or laser (in any combination)
- Clean and polish surfaces with hand or power tools
- Fill expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials
- Special duties and projects assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- OSHA-10 or higher (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
- 1+ years of field experience
- Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier
- Proficient in paver installation, irrigation, low voltage lighting, and planting techniques
