Master Data Manager
Job Description:
As a Master Data Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our organization’s master data. This role involves managing data governance processes, developing data quality standards, ensuring compliance with data policies, and collaborating with various departments to maintain a centralized and reliable source of key business information. Your efforts will support informed decision-making and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies to ensure the integrity and accuracy of master data across the organization.
- Data Quality Management: Establish and maintain data quality standards, conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and resolve data discrepancies or quality issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, and marketing, to ensure alignment on data requirements and processes.
- Master Data Strategy: Lead initiatives to design and implement strategies for effective master data management, promoting best practices across the organization.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with relevant data policies and regulations, maintaining awareness of industry standards and best practices in data management.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on data management practices and tools, fostering a culture of data stewardship within the organization.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to master data quality, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in master data management, data governance, or data quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of data management tools and methodologies, with experience in data integration and data modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess and improve data quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant data regulations and compliance standards.
