Master Technician - TEKsystems

Description:

They have an immediate need for CCTV/ ACCESS CONTROL techs to work a project that they won with Duke Energy. For NC, we will have techs primarily in and around Raleigh to Charlotte. (New Bern / Southern pines) Mainly upstate. They are traveling to Duke Energy sub stations installing new CCTV and access control panels. MCA’s equipment is Avigilon but they are open to other equipment. They need to be able to do installations as there is no need to train. These techs are needed ASAP. If they travel out of the footprint, they will arrange for the techs to meet up and jump into an MCA vehicle.

At least 2+ years Installing and servicing physical security systems/platforms, including CCTV, access

control systems, intrusion detection, communications, and many other low-voltage

systems.

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.     

• Training/mentoring others within the team. 

• Working as a valued team member on projects/installations to deliver quality results to

our customers.

• Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application

on client engagements.

• Working with trades and subcontractors assigned to projects. 

• Serving as a lead tech on smaller projects/installations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with the installation and service of enterprise-level

physical security systems and platforms (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion / Burglar,

etc.)

• Proficiency in all device installation, headend equipment, cabling, and ability to connect

them to the network.

• Basic understanding of networking and programming. 

• Ability to oversee and train others on device installation. 

• Demonstrated ability to use test equipment to verify installation. 

• Ability to troubleshoot basic issues across various enterprise-level systems.  

• Ability to obtain appropriate licensure. 

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Master Technician will travel btw Duke Energy sub stations, if they need to travel outside of the upstate, they will get inside a MCA vehicle and travel with the MCA employees.

**Candidates must have 2+ years experience running, routing, and terminating cable in commercial setting.

**Candidates must have 2+ years experience programming camera's specifically Avigilon camera's if able to find. Otherwise , Highvision, Honeywell, Software House other brands applicable for experience.
