Description: | To pick and kit material, communicate/respond with material movement to and from both production areas and outside locations in a safe and expeditious manner and to accurately document material movement. Essential Functions: 1. Put safety first every day. 2. Order and safely deliver all material to the appropriate locations ensuring right part at the right place at the right time in the right quantity and quality using various material handling equipment including counterbalance, reach truck, picker, tug and turret machines 3. Use hand held scanner and computer for material movement transactions to perform material handling tasks including stocking, picking parts and material auditing 4. Safely empty hoppers and dunnage 5. Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to material movement, report discrepancies and recommend solutions 6. Perform other tasks and projects as required 7. Work and interact effectively in a team environment 8. Work with limited supervision |
Requirements: | 1. Minimum of 6 months computer usage 2. Drive material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach, picker) 3. Read standard work and write continuous improvement cards 4. Utilize computer/scanner for material movement transactions |
Physical Requirements: | 1. Operate material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach truck, picker) 2. Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greater 3. Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists 4. Lift up to 35 lbs. frequently 5. Work at multiple heights 6. Climb on material handling equipment 7. Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks 8. Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures 9. Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices 10. Work in tight spaces and awkward positions including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting, and forward head and rotation of neck 11. Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating 12. Use of hand tools including band cutters and box cutter **Required Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed/metatarsal foot gear, bump caps and protective material handling equipment including safety/fall harness. #Ind2 |
