Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials within our facility. Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse.
• Assist in the preparation of materials for shipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
• Receive inbound inventory, place materials into storage, pull inventory from storage to fill customer orders, and load material on trucks.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, other material handling equipment to move material to/from trucks or trailers.
• Cleaning parts using hand/pedestal grinders or other metal finishing equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift license is required.
• Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
• Experience with overhead cranes
