About the Job
Under Direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. Provides information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. May provide guidance to lower level material handlers. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The job requires a basic understanding of work routines and procedures in own discipline. The technical procedures for this level are well defined. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. This job typically requires no experience.

Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends. Perform excess and obsolete material analysis as necessary. Knowledge and understanding of Material Control software, MS Office, Outlook, etc. Self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Basic skills - Ability to read and follow blueprints, basic reading, and math skills. Must have good communication skills, a customer service orientation, self-motivated, very organized, enthusiastic, detail oriented, resourceful, willing, and able to work long hours (including overtime as required) and possess a sense of urgency. Ability to operate a pallet jack with a full load and/or other warehouse related tools. Minimum 1 year experience in field or in related area. SAP or equivalent work experience Supports all aspects of Inventory Control (i.e., Material Storage & Control, and cycle count operations). This position works closely with Accounting, Planning, and Manufacturing. Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety, product quality and compliance with the the company, Quality Manual, and its governing regulations. Perform excess and obsolete material analysis as necessary. Set up and replenish Kanban bins and pulls materials for production. Responsible for labeling materials and filling out paperwork for materials needed in production. Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills while executing assigned responsibilities. Maintain material availability to the production area in compliance with operational procedures. Interfacing with Buying/Planning, Receiving Inspection, and offsite storage to expedite material requirements as necessary to meet production needs. Perform cycle counts per documented cycle count program. Performs research to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and improve overall accuracy. Coordinate shipments with offsite storage. Perform material put away and replenishment Usually certified in the process prior and after the primary process. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to focus on detailed work for long periods of time. Ability to gown in appropriate PPE for a cleanroom environment. Ability to lift to 50lbs-75lbs, routinely. Ability to operate a pallet jack with a full load and/or other warehouse related tools
