Overview
Material Manager Logistician (F3500 2024-21825):
Bowhead seeks a Logistician to join our team in Crane, IN
The Logisticians are responsible for managing a product's life cycle from design to disposal and must be able to develop, adjust and carry out logistical plans related to various products
Logisticians are required to properly allocate materials, supplies and products to ensure the success of the contract and must have excellent communication and problem solving skills
The Logisticians must also keep accurate and complete record and be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
Point of contact for shipping/recieving parts for Radar Restoration
Effectively and efficiently plan for and ensure GFE and GFM is delivered to and received from contractor locations as required
Tracking of repairs will be done in SWMS.
Tracking data (NIIN, P/N, S/N, Failure Data, etc.) of parts
Point of contact for requisition process and OM&S.
Schedule and monitor workload closely through development of metrics and tools useful for assessing the health of processes.
Assist Task Managers to ensure A-condition radar equipment is delivered to the fleet on time.
Monitor FY workload inductions and turn-ins and process 1149's.
Support the preparation of presentation documentation and make recommendations for improvements to program reports, briefings, and strategic plans
Interface with the Task Manager to track program asset status and workload planning, including monitoring NAVSUP inventory stocks, as well as satellite locations.
Track and monitor the payback system between programs borrowing assets with PBL-O for fleet support requirements
Access to Web Visual Logistics Information Processing System (WEBVLIPS), NAVICP Supply Support Programs (NSSP), Logistics Management Systems (LMS21) SharePoint, Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM), ERP, Navy One Touch, IHS Haystack Gold, Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS), DoD Fedmall, Shop Workload Management System (SWMS) and WXP shared site.
Interface with analysts and workload shop leads to gather, track, and analyze project metrics.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree is desired or a minimum of at least five (5+) years of experience however additional experience may be substituted for formal education for highly qualified candidates.
An understanding an application of logistics principles, concepts, practices and standards
Knowledge of industry practices an application to government practices
Access to Web Visual Logistics Information Processing System (WEBVLIPS), NAVICP Supply Support Programs (NSSP), Logistics Management Systems (LMS21) SharePoint, Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM), ERP, Navy One Touch, IHS Haystack Gold, Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS), DoD Fedmall, Shop Workload Management System (SWMS) and WXP shared site
Good organizational skills,proficient in Microsoft products,Good communication skills
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
