We are seeking a Materials Manager to join our Jacuzzi Group- North America Bath team.
The Materials Manager will manage material flow into, through, and out of the facilities (Valdosta, Roselle, and 7 retail locations) to ensure timely delivery while managing inventory and logistics costs. Responsibilities include managing the supply chain to fulfill client demand, coordinating procurement and material handling within operations, and optimizing resources to achieve organizational objectives. This dynamic leader will align these functions with the Company's Materials Strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and facilitate organizational development.
Requirements
- Oversees Purchasing and Material Handling departments, ensuring flow of materials for multiple sites.
- Manages direct and indirect purchasing procedures.
- Driving Materials Strategies to meet KPI targets; On-time delivery, past due, days on hand and Excess/Obsolete.
- Evaluates current operational process and identifies areas for process improvements.
- Responsible for overseeing and responding to the organizations objectives; creating strategies and action plans to achieve objectives.
- Develop and maintains inventory replenishment plans; participates in inventory forecasting, logistics costing and ensures accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Creates standardized operating procedures; Implements sustainable processes for efficient material flow.
- Accountable for the reporting of metrics related to materials performance. The candidate must possess the ability to extract data, conduct thorough analyses, and develop presentations based on the findings.
- Support new product introductions and transitions, ensuring smooth ramp-up and positive customer experience, including packaging and logistics agreements.
- Proper development of staff; Hiring, Training, Leading, Motivating and overall Development of the team, acting as a facilitator in this whole process.
- Must be able to travel between our sites (Roughly 40% travel)
Compensation for this role is $115,000+ plus an annual bonus.

- Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or other related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in managing an Industrial Materials Department.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques as they relate to materials planning and logistics.
- Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results.
- Proficient in Windows Office (Excel, Power Point).
- Experience in Item Master, Item Branch, Routing, BOM and general product structuring utilization and analysis.
- Essential skills include leadership, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, coaching expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong focus on customer service.
- Previous experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards is highly desirable.
- Experience utilizing an ERP/MRP (LN or Infor experience preferred)
