What You’ll Do
As an Associate Teacher (AT) at Veritas Prep, you will embark on an enriching journey of professional growth and development within a team-oriented environment. Your role will involve directly supporting the academic and social-emotional success of middle school scholars through various responsibilities, including:
- Providing regular classroom coverage to promote a consistent learning environment,
- Offering one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions tailored to students' individual needs,
- Assisting in lesson planning and curriculum preparation to enhance instructional quality,
- Engaging in personalized coaching and feedback sessions with experienced educators, and
- Participating in hands-on classroom practice to strengthen your teaching skills.
This position is ideal for recent graduates, individuals seeking a career change, or education students who wish to deepen their experience prior to taking on a lead teaching role. - Previous experience working with youth is preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment is required

Veritas Prep is a public, tuition-free school in Springfield that prepares students in grades 5 through 12 to compete, achieve, and succeed in college and beyond. Veritas Prep accelerates every student’s path to college and career by helping them set a strong academic foundation in middle school and guaranteeing access to college classes and college prep support in our wall-to-wall Early College high school.

Students can earn up to an associate degree for free, and the general studies associate degree from STCC means students enter as JUNIORS at any Massachusetts public college or university after high school graduation.
