The Gas/Liquid Measurement Technician is responsible for ensuring accurate custody transfer measurement of liquids and gases on production sites, pipeline facilities and refined products terminals within the Beaumont, TX area. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating gas and liquid measurement equipment, including ABB Totalflow, ROC, and Omni Flow computers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meter Proving and Calibration
- Installation and Maintenance
- Field Audits and Compliance
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance
- Data Management and Reporting
- Equipment Operation and Calibration
- Emergency Response and Call-Outs
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of API Standards and RPs related to meter proving, volume correction, and crude oil custody transfer.
- Familiarity with AGA/GPA Gas Measurement Guidelines, BLM, and COGCC regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in using test equipment such as digital multimeters, analog testers, and function generators.
- Experience with flow computer configuration software and basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical gas measurement equipment.
- Field/production measurement or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in gas and liquid measurement, including the use of flow computers and proving equipment.
