The Mechanic performs the day-to-day activities of fleet maintenance; coordinates maintenance and repair of vehicles with other departments. Performs skilled tasks in the servicing, repair, and maintenance of a variety of ZEROREZ equipment and vehicles; oversees the inventory and procurement of all applicable parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed; develops and distributes work plan assignments and ensures completion. Maintains database, prepares reports and supervises other maintenance personnel.
What you will do as a Zerorez Mechanic
- Plan, assign, supervise, review, and take part in the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of ZEROREZ vehicles, and equipment for scheduled and unscheduled mechanical repairs and maintenance activities.
- Perform procurement of applicable parts and equipment for repair and maintenance; keep inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Complete purchase orders, review invoices for accuracy, ensure proper levels of inventory are received.
- Develop and distribute daily work plan assignments and ensure completion; train, motivate and evaluate assigned personnel; provide or coordinate tech training and work with carpet techs to correct deficiencies.
- Inspect and test equipment repairs to check proper functioning.
- Oversee and take part in performing tune-ups on vehicles and equipment; troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on ZEROREZ vehicles and equipment
- Respond to road calls and makes repairs in the field; perform welding, fabrication, and repairs of shop equipment and the ZERORZ facility.
- Ensure and participate in the diagnoses, repair, and replacement of components including electrical systems, computerized ignition, CNG & gasoline fuel systems, hydraulic, brake systems, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and related components.
- Aid in developing and administering the Fleet Maintenance budget; compiles data and reports as requested for vehicle/equipment allocation and replacement; check fleet expenditures.
- Maintain files and records for fleet services; review documents for accuracy; research discrepancies; update records and information as needed.
- 3+ years of experience as an Auto Mechanic
- High School diploma or GED
- Must provide your own set of tools
- Experience with data organization, report preparation, and statistical information
- Understanding of safety procedures and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation details: 20-25 Hourly Wage
