The Mechanical Assembler position is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems used in aerospace and defense products. This role involves working with precision tools and equipment to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly Tasks:
- Assemble mechanical components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Conduct functional tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation.
Quality Control:
- Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and quality checks.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Familiarity with precision machining and assembly techniques.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
