About the Job
Salary $70-80k/year DOE
Responsibilities:
-Achieve or exceed budgeted level of sales and profits
-Work with Production, Sales and Customers, develop and maintain a list of product improvements which improve value to the customer and/or reduce costs
-Document design additions and changes in Creo database and Abas Bill of Materials
-Work with dealers and customers on technical and installation questions and troubleshooting
-Develop manual and instructional material to facilitate customers? ability to successfully use Lake Groomer Products
-Design Engineering Roll Form Machines
-Work with Lead Engineer, production team, service and sales personnel to provide design work and Bill of Material support
-Develop and implement testing procedures as needed
-Initiate processes for production and assembly to create better efficiency in the production process
-Participate in design and production improvements to improve customer value and/or reduce costs
-Create and maintain Project records
-Report status of all projects in regular meetings and as requested
-Report on circumstances where the project will result in significant variances from forecast
-Track Time spent on specific projects, particularly that time which can be claimed as R&D expense
-Design as needed for other affiliated companies
-Work with customers as needed for sales, service, etc.
-Maintain engineering Bill of Materials, contribute to the development of processes and standards for production
-Develop instructions and manuals as necessary for the products
-Work with Vendors to identify best options for quality, lead time and price for products needed

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in design engineering, mechanical engineering, product design, industrial design, or a related field is required
-A minimum of 3-4 years of work experience as a design engineer
-Foundational knowledge in mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing processes, and electrical engineering on topics such as circuit design, control systems, and signal processing
-Experience using specialist software, such as CAD tools, CAM software, or CAE applications
-The ability to come up with new ways of doing things, and to think clearly using logic and reasoning
-The ability to create detailed blueprints and instructions
-Excellent written and oral communication
-A creative flair and design ability, good visual and spatial awareness, commercial awareness, and project management skills
