Education Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Required Skills for the Mechanical Engineer:
- Must be well versed with CAD / Solidworks and PDM.
- Successful candidate will be researching products online, provide CAD drawings and write technical documents (assembly instructions, bill of materials, machine shop prints, and presentations), assist in assembling prototypes, running tests, participate in design reviews and must be able to work with other engineers and researchers both locally and remotely to build laboratory automation systems.
- Applicant must be able to work both independently and with different project teams onsite at the Chesterfield, MO campus.
- Individual will be working with other engineers, maintenance teams, scientists, machine shop, carpenters, electricians, technicians, and vendors.
- Meticulousness and organizational skills must be at a high level.
Summary:
- Engineer for the laboratory automation space.
- Designs, calculates, builds, and tests various hardware components.
- Has working knowledge of safety, project management, fabrication print best practices, 3D printing, and experience in necessary hand tools within industry.
- Excellent communication skills, highest level of attention to detail, and ability to problem solve.
- 1 – 3 years of experience
