Job Description Hallberg Engineering is searching for an entry-level mechanical engineer with the passion and motivation to contribute to innovative, industry-leading designs. In this developmental position the engineer learns to apply theoretical knowledge to practical applications. The majority of these projects will encompass designing mechanical systems for commercial buildings. Responsibilities: The duties listed below are minimum requirements for the position, but are not all encompassing. Each individual is expected to perform any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule. Under close supervision perform a variety of technical tasks, including: Input of data into pre-written computer programs Run reports or calculations Design portions of a project Research for commercially available equipment. Recommend specifying equipment based on searches May prepare the drawings of designs he or she has originated Perform technical analysis Review existing drawings to determine existing equipment Eventual proficiency expected in the use of computers for design and CAD applications Complete building system energy analysis Assist with building surveys Attend in-house seminars and educational opportunities outside of the office Participate in technical and professional societies Other duties as necessary and assigned Relationship to Others: Work for the Project Engineer/Designer on day-to-day questions and to help solve problems. Minimal client contact. Work with sales representatives to obtain equipment information.
