Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The below list reflects the general details describing the principle and essential functions of the position but shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.

Analyze findings to troubleshoot and determine source(s) of control or mechanical application issues.

Support customers with PLC programming, control system set-up, HMI setup, overall troubleshooting.

Coordinate problem resolution and recommend repair, replacement, and/or other corrective action for lineside control.

Provide on-site and remote support (telephone, email, etc.) to customers, distributors, and colleagues.

Provide project management and training as required.

Execute other tasks related to special events (JTEKT Machinery Technology Days, IMTS, etc.) and/or service support on an as-needed basis.

Travel Requirements: Must be flexible for company funded travel during 40-50% of their work week. Many projects may require travel by automobile/car and/or airplane. International travel will be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or another applicable discipline, or equivalent experience/knowledge.

Electrical and mechanical aptitude, knowledge of machining fundamentals, PLC Programming.

2+ years of experience/training in electrical and mechanical engineering concepts.

Knowledge of PLC programming/troubleshooting, control systems, digital servo systems, and power circuits.

Intermediate experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree/certificate or licensing in a skilled trade related to control technology is highly desired.

Prior application of the appropriate education, experience, and licensing to the JTEKT Machinery/Toyoda product line.
-
Integration experience with PLC and CNC controls on machine tools is highly desired
