About the Job
Pay rate:75K-90K Summary/Objective The Mechatronics Technician will
providing technical assistance and support by testing, servicing,
troubleshooting, and answering technical. This role works closely with
Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Manufacturing team members to
troubleshoot and repair company's actuators. This role is responsible
for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Duties
would include assisting the customer to identify if HDLLC product is the
root cause of their disruption, troubleshooting of the product, repair
of product and communication of defects and trends to the Assembly
Operations. This person will report directly to the Service Center
Manager located in Beverly Massachusetts. Essential Functions Work
hands-on with a wide variety of assembly and test equipment and
processes with a focus on Electro-mechanical assembly and functional
test. Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action of
functional discrepancies. Reviews customer field data to determine
trends Diagnose, disassemble, repair and re-assemble electromechanical
components/assemblies for return to customer. Configuring hardware and
software components after installation Communicate real time data to
Assembly Operation and engineering to ensure process and design
enhancements are implemented to improve yield in the field Assist the
customer in upgrading equipment at various field locations Documentation
of field installation and repairs Maintaining all tools and equipment
used during service calls and in local lab Keep up to date on
administrative responsibilities such as ordering repair parts, lab and
office consumables. Teaching customers how to diagnose properly
Competencies Experience interfacing with both internal team members and
external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
Experience with soldering per IPC-610, wiring, crimping, and using hand
and power tools. Ability to use common diagnostic equipment including an
oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, etc. Proficiency in reading and
interpreting mechanical and electrical technical drawings, schematics,
and manuals. Experience with robotic control systems and programming is
a plus General computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work creatively and responsibly with minimal supervision Good
verbal and written communication skills Supervisory Responsibility This
position has no direct reports but considered a high influencer within
our company. Work Environment This job operates at the HD Beverly
facility and will work in the production and in a lab environment.

Manual dexterity sufficient to conduct precision work Ability to do work

twisting and lifting Frequently required to sit, stand, move, talk,
hear, bend and reach with hands / arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up
to 50 pounds Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time,
exempt position which operates during normal business hours Monday
through Friday. Weekend and after hour support may be required. Travel
Occasional trips to customer locations may be required. Required
Education and Experience Associate?s degree in Manufacturing Technology,
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
required; an advanced degree is a plus. This could include past roles as
a Military or Veteran with electro-mechanical experience, HVAC/Cable
Internet technician, Electrician, Automotive Mechanic or Repair.
