About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Acute Care Float - Nights **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, Every other weekend, 2 major, 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Less than 1 year (Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours required; direct patient care experience preferred) **License:** Registered Nurse License (Single State or Multi-state Compact) **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management and critical thinking skills. **Job Description:** - Be an active member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, individualized patient care. - Practice in a clinical environment guided by nurse managers and leaders, supported by shared governance and professional practice models. - Perform the nursing process, using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized care. - Maintain cultural competence, providing patient-centered care that respects diversity. - Collaborate with patients and significant others, emphasizing partnership and communication in care delivery. - Adhere to current clinical practice standards and system policies. - Coordinate and document safe patient care, promoting effective interdisciplinary communication. - Foster teamwork and collaboration, contributing to performance improvement and shared governance. - Engage in professional development, serving as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives. - Proactively plan patient care across the continuum, engaging in protocol and procedure development. - Support efficient use of resources and participate in data collection to support best practices. - Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and codes of conduct.
