About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Acute Care Nights **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, 2 major and 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Less than 1 year (completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours preferred) **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; effective time management; ability to respond effectively in emergency situations; critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - **Exemplary Practice and Outcomes** - Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity. - Partner with patients and their significant others to focus on their goals in the plan of care. - Adhere to current clinical practice standards. - **Teamwork and Collaboration** - Coordinate safe, quality patient care delivery through effective communication and documentation. - Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and promote recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities. - **Professional Development and Initiative** - Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment. - **Evidence-Based Practice and Research** - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing. - Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies. - Participate in data collection and consult appropriate resources to address practice questions. - **Resources and Support** - Plan for patient care across the care continuum. - Collaborate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. - Support efficient use of human and material resources.
