**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Med Surg First Floor **Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night, 7p-7a **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than 1 year; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) **Must-Have:** - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Basic computer skills - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment - Strong time management and critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - **Exemplary Practice and Outcomes** - Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice - Provide patient-centered care, adapting to cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics - Collaborate with patients and their significant others to focus on personalized care goals - Align practice with current clinical standards - **Teamwork and Collaboration** - Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care - Foster a respectful and inclusive clinical environment - Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in teamwork - Engage in performance improvement initiatives and promote interdisciplinary collaboration - **Professional Development and Initiative** - Complete all professional competency assessments and mandatory education - Mentor and preceptor for nurses and students, ensuring a qualified future workforce - **Evidence-Based Practice and Research** - Encourage evidence-based practice and nursing research - Uphold organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards - Participate in data collection and apply evidence to clinical questions - **Resources and Support** - Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum - Collaborate on protocol and procedure development with healthcare team members - Ensure efficient use of human and material resources - Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
