Medical Assistant - Medical Professionals

In this position, you will:

• Support physicians with various tasks related to patient care, ensuring efficient and compassionate service
• Greet and check in patients, manage their check-out, and help with any questions during their visit
• Escort patients to exam rooms, take their vital signs, and ensure they are ready for the physician's visit
• Handle incoming calls and manage patient appointments
• Conduct blood draws, EKG, pregnancy testing, and COVID-19 testing as needed
• Handle referrals and insurance authorizations for patients
• Direct messages from patients and front office staff to the appropriate medical providers
• Manage medication refill requests and coordinate with the pharmacy
• Communicate test results to patients and answer any follow-up questions
• Ensure patient insurance information is accurate and updated as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and exam rooms

What we need from you:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant certificate from accredited program
• Active BLS/ CPR certification
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of medical terminology
