Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program
- AHA BLS
- 2 Years of Recent Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, NCCT, AMT or NHA preferred
- Conduct patient assessments, administer medications and immunizations, and obtain vital signs.
- Assist with documentation, handle insurance authorizations, and manage patient requests.
- Ensure courteous patient interactions, comply with HIPAA, and support a positive work environment.
- Prioritize tasks, act on clinical directives, and respond to urgent situations.
- Use computer systems (EPIC) for scheduling and medical records, and understand medical terminology and medication administration.
