Embedded within our clinical care team, Medical Assistants seamlessly manage patient flow while collaborating closely with nurses and physicians to deliver effective care in our Family Medicine department. They are the communication bridges between patients and their clinical team, ensuring everyone is informed and on the same page.
With a blend of clinical and organizational skills, the Medical Assistant significantly contributes to our patient care. Their meticulous attention to detail ensures optimal patient experience, minimizing wait times and maximizing provider efficiency. They handle essential tasks like taking vital signs, maintaining necessary supplies and equipment, scheduling and confirming appointments, and setting up examination rooms for office visits and procedures. Medical Assistants must be readily available to assist assigned providers through clear and consistent communication throughout the session.
Medical Assistants' compassion extends to patients of all ages, from the tiny hands of newborns to the experienced wisdom of our eldest. They play a key role in managing the physical and emotional well-being of assigned patients. Their genuine care and empathy create a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vital signs.
- Pulse oximetry.
- Use of 02 equipment.
- Obtaining EKG’s.
- Laboratory studies such as glucometer, urine dip stick urinalysis and others as requested.
- Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization.
- Follows procedure for operation of autoclave and properly documents each load.
Qualifications and requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED and a graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program.
- One year of Medical Assisting experience strongly preferred.
- One year of Customer Service experience.
- Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
