Medical Assistant (MA) at Mitchell Martin

A Well Known Hospital located in Flushing, NY has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant

Type: Contract
Schedule: 9:00am - 5:00pm (includes a 45min break)
Location: Flushing, NY

Requirements:
NY State Certified Medical Assistant
Medical assistant duties - phlebotomy, (Ortho skills a bonus) Spanish speaking preferred.
High school diploma plus completion of an accredited program as a Medical Assistant
NHA Certification preferred not required
At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant; experienced with phlebotomy
OB GYN experience preferred
Knowledge of venipuncture, laboratory equipment, venipuncture techniques, performing venipuncture
Surgery/Outpatient experience highly preferred (GYN oncology, Colon rectal surgery, Urology exp a plus).
Familiar with biopsies, autoclaving.
Familiar with EHR and documentation.
EPIC is Preferred.
Bi-lingual a plus.
