Position: Medical Assistant (MA)
Location: Fullerton, CA
Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours a day
Pay: $21-$23 / hr
Key Responsibilities:
Perform vision exams
Performs daily exam room and stock inspection, ensure supplies are adequate for patient care
Assists attending medical provider during examinations and procedures
Perform clerical records maintenance - File employee doctor/LOA notes, workers compensation files, and status reports
Workers Compensation case monitoring - Reporting claims, providing state forms (DWC in CA, state pamphlets) to the employee; coordinating clinic evaluation
Coordination and tracking of Medical Surveillance Programs - Maintain the medical surveillance tracking database with the completed and upcoming evaluation dates
Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering the phone, maintaining patient charts, and supplies
Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines
Performs other front office duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) course from an accredited/recognized school.
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) with AED certificates.
Clinical experience is a significant advantage, showcasing your commitment to excellence.
