Overview:
Medical Assistant wanted. Norman Regional Health System Rheumatology Associates is a comprehensive Rheumatology Clinic. This position requires the ability to mult-task, and pay close attention to detail.
Responsibilities:- Provides excellent care to patients and assistance to physicians.
- Duties include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the Electronic Medical Record system, assisting with day to day patient care, and other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and transition duties as needed during clinic days.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and ability to follow through with all tasks assigned with accuracy and efficiency are essential for this role.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.
Experience
- Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
- Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation
Compensation/Benefits
- $13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
