The role of Medical Assistant Trainer requires frequent travel, ranging from 75% to 100% of the time. The incumbent will become certified as an EMA Trainer within the initial 12-week period and will be responsible for delivering training sessions to staff members across the organization. They will uphold a consistently high level of customer service for both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:- Become certified as an EMA Trainer within the initial 12-week period and provide training to staff members.
- Ensure a consistently high level of customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Oversee workflow and enforce adherence to policies and procedures, suggesting and implementing necessary changes to maintain an efficient clinic and foster a positive work environment.
- Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor the work activities and training sessions of assigned personnel.
- Promote a positive, fair, and open environment within the organization.
- Follow up on problems, complaints, and inquiries to ensure satisfactory resolution, promptly reporting such matters to the Regional Director.
- Keep the Regional Director informed of personnel and staffing issues, as well as any other relevant information impacting operations and the effective implementation of policies and procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulations, standards, policies, and practices pertaining to the specific area of work, staying updated on the latest processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to HIPAA standards to safeguard patient confidentiality.
- Comply with OSHA Standard Precautions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Complete assigned special projects as directed by the supervisor or Regional Director.
- Ability to travel to Sevierville when needed for coverage or training of new hires
- Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Education and Experience:
- Must have completed a Medical Assistant program with externship
- Must have at least 3 years of experience as a medical assistant
- At least one year of experience as a team lead is strongly preferred
- Experience within dermatology and EMA experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
