About the Job
We are looking for a patient-focused team player who is professional, organized, reliable and customer service oriented to join our growing Behavorial Health Center. Candidates should enjoy helping people, be detailed oriented, and proactive.
They also act as customer support and communicate with the patients directly by answering their questions and addressing their concerns. Billing analysts are responsible for reviewing invoices and correcting any discrepancies, which may include seeking clarification from other departments or an insurance carrier.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software (EMR) including electronic and paper claim processing
- Verifying each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contractual discount.
- Manual and electronic payment posting
- Daily reconciliation
- Extensive Accounts Receivable follow-up within standard billing cycle
- Verify each insurance payment for accuracy, compliance and contractual rate--follow up directly with carrier with any discrepancies.
- Researching and appealing denied claims.
- Communicate directly with management regarding any payer and account i discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to inquiries from patients regarding bills, statements and insurance coverage, utilizing all resources available in addition to utilizing professionalism while practicing excellent patient service.
