Medical Claims Follow Up Specialist - TEKsystems

Description:

• Responsible for Follow Up on encounters with no payer response, analyzing patient accounts, performing the appropriate steps or actions needed to satisfy the account balance, and handling inquiries regarding patient’s account.
• Resubmit claims as needed.
• Reviews, corrects and submits claims to payers. Applies developing/basic working knowledge and experience to the job.
• Reviews unpaid accounts, initiates correct actions to collect the accounts, and follows up on action to assure expected results is achieved.
• Meets or exceeds productivity and quality performance expectations.
• Reviews unpaid accounts and initiate collection action for past due and denied claims. Calculates write-offs and debit/credit adjustments.
• Responsible for claims follow -up, Professional and Facility, from claim submission until final payment
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim denials or underpayments
