Job Title: Medical Coder
Location: NIH Clinical Center
Key Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4, and HCPCS for various patient encounters.
• Ensure coding accuracy for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, and day hospital services.
• Follow NIH-specific coding guidelines, including documentation for rare diseases.
• Meet productivity metrics and maintain a high standard of coding accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., CCS, CPC, CCS-H).
• 2 years of experience in medical coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards.
• Familiarity with coding software, such as 3M™ 360 Encompass.
