We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to oversee medical services at a correctional facility in Lambertville, NJ. This crucial role ensures the delivery of high-quality healthcare to inmate patients, aligning with community standards and clinical guidelines. The Medical Director will manage clinical services, collaborate with specialists, and ensure effective patient care delivery.

- Location: Lambertville, NJ
- Employment Type: Contract
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Shift: 8 Hour Days, 5 shifts per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Pay Range: $215-275/HR
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a US-based residency program
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey
- At least two years of experience in public health, emergency, or family practice
- Previous correctional healthcare experience preferred
- Active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Unrestricted and valid prescriptive authority with DEA, DEA-X, and CDS
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise clinical services at the correctional facility
- Manage primary and consultative services, ensuring timely and appropriate care
- Provide continuous quality control of health services through audits and education
- Function as a liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company
- Conduct routine physical examinations and provide treatment to inmate patients
- Supervise the development and application of policies and protocols in detainee care
- Participate in the hiring and supervision of physician and mid-level provider staff
- Ensure compliance with NCCHC standards of care and other relevant regulations
