About the Job
Atlantic Health System (AHSIC) is seeking a Full-Time Medical Dispatcher II. Required hours are: Monday thru Friday, 9:30AM - 6:00PM; On-Call/Weekends (As Needed).
Essential Functions:
1. Organizes and divides all work orders into major geographical routes within company service area.
2. Assigns created routes to specific company location, delivery technician, and vehicle balancing overall workload with available resources.
3. Prints, and ensures receipt at, all remote sites of all appropriate work orders and delivery documents as required.
4. Manages all work orders by route and to ensure appropriate delivery technician assignment in practice management software.
5. Dispatches all work orders to available delivery technicians balancing available resources while remaining fiscally responsible.
6. Monitors and facilitates timely departure of delivery technicians.
7. Monitors the activities and progress of all delivery technicians throughout the day, updating the display board for completed stops as necessary.
8. Communicates with customer service regularly all relevant information regarding order status and delivery expectations.
9. Continuously performs work order audit/reconciliation ensuring that all daily work orders have been received assigned and accounted for.
10. Assists in the hiring process of all full-time and part-time personnel.
11. Assists Operation Managers on delivery technician year end performance reviews.
12. Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
- Flexibility to work additional hours/days as needed.
- Ability to complete “ride alongs” with drivers if needed.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
Relevant Experience:
- Previous Laboratory or physician office or clinic experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology/experience preferred.
- Experience performing healthcare patient registration preferred.
