Medical Front Desk at Neurology, Psychiatry, and Balance Therapy Center

We are looking for a part time receptionist who is interested in working in friendly multi-disciplinary medical office that strives in providing excellent and compassionate care to our patients. Our receptionists assist providers and other members of the team by performing a variety of front office and patient related tasks, ensuring a smooth patient experience and efficient work flow within the practice.

Job Responsibilities:

· Use a multi-line telephone system, take accurate messages, and triage, screen, and direct telephone messages to the                    appropriate person. Call patients, other providers, and related business entities as needed.

· Schedule and register patients.

· Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and assist with prior authorizing tests, medications, and services.

· Greet and identify patients and visitors. Carry out the check in and check out process for scheduled patients.

· General office duties: scanning, copying, faxing, filing, mailing, as well as perform and record financial transactions.

· Maintain a neat and organized waiting room and request supplies as needed.

· Perform other office related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Strong time management, problem solving, organizational, communication and exceptional customer service skills.

· Attention to detail.

· Proficient with computer use including Word, Excel, web based applications, and general Windows functions.

· Proficient with general office procedures (using phone system, scanning, copying, faxing, filing, mailing, and perform and record    financial transactions).

· Familiarity with medical insurance and medical billing preferred.

· 1 Year experience in a receptionist role in a medical setting preferred.

· Electronic health record system experience preferred.

· Basic familiarity with diagnosis and procedure codes preferred.
