We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Medical Administrative Coordinator to join our fast-paced medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about healthcare and wants to make a significant difference in patients' lives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical administration, with a focus on the overall patient experience, while handling all of the administrative functions of the front office. The role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Medical Administrative Coordinator, you will:
1. Coordinate and manage patient scheduling, including patient check-ins, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
2. Handle all pre-authorizations and prior authorizations for procedures and medications, working closely with insurance companies to ensure coverage and avoid delays in treatment.
3. Verify patient insurance information, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Use EMR systems effectively to update and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
5. Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care, including coordinating appointments, tests, and procedures.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures to improve efficiency and patient care.
7. Handle patient inquiries, providing accurate and timely information and assistance.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in the medical industry.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical administration, preferably in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
2. Proficiency in using EMR systems and other medical software.
3. Experience in handling pre-authorizations and prior authorizations.
4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
