MR/CS/Staffing Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains, updates, and stores patient medical records in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Scans and uploads clinical documentation such as hospital records, physician notes, visit summaries, etc. to PCC (Point Click Care).
• Ensures all medical records are stored securely and follow HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality while ensuring all staff complies with said guidelines.
• Processes requests for medical records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, authorized individuals, and external entities.
• Locates and retrieves medical records and supplies for healthcare providers and staff.
• Performs regular audits of medical records and central supply inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Accurately obtains, tracks, and return DME rentals for residents and new admissions.
• Upholds cleanliness and organization of the central supply storage area.
• Monitors, records, restocks, and orders medical inventories to maintain par levels.
• Organizes and prepares work schedules for staff to ensure that all shifts are covered each day.
• Coordinates 24-hour work schedules including coverage for Call-Ins and PTO requests using company scheduling software.
• Effectively manages schedules to fairly distribute work hours and keep overtime to a minimum.
• Covers shifts as needed to ensure adequate staffing.
• Participates on the MOD (Manager On Duty) Weekend assignment rotation.
• Has thorough documentation and administrative clerical skills related to departments and Time & Attendance.
• Takes part in meal service including setup, serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room, assuring residents are positioned appropriately for meals, appropriate utensils are within reach of residents, assists with feeding as indicated.
• Assists fellow Aides by helping our residents with ADL’s, transporting, answering call lights, and reporting observations to nursing supervisor.
• Follows through with resident requests or needs, escalating to Charge Nurse as applicable.
• Attends in-service training and departmental meetings.
• Completes other administrative tasks as needed.
• Provides our residents with superior quality care using trained skills within certified scope of practice in accordance with facility policy.
• Other duties, responsibilities, and tasks assigned by Supervisory staff.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Medical Records, Central Supply, or Staffing is a must.
• Applicants must have a valid and current Nurse Aide Certification in the state of Texas.
• Active Medication Aide Certification is preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification is preferred.
• Experience in a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing facility is required.
• Proficiency with computer software and EMR systems in needed.
• Familiarity of HIPAA, PHI, and Patient Confidentiality regulations is mandatory.
